Rainy Day on the Gunflint Trail

What do you do when it's raining on the Gunflint Trail? It all depends upon the person and how important it is for them to be out in the canoe country.  If it isn't lightning or excessively windy in the Boundary Waters then it's probably fine to grab the canoe and head out into the BWCA.
If you prefer to stay completely dry then why not visit the Chik-Wauk Museum and Nature Center?  There is so much to do and see there a person could never get bored.  There are films to watch, books to read and great displays of the historical Gunflint Trail.
Hiking in the rain in or out of the BWCA isn't a bad idea either.  Just use caution as many trails can be wet and slippery. There are trails of all lengths and sizes you are sure to find one you like.
